Fear is such a strong word there. Pity. I pity men like that. It's not alpha, everything they said is fear.

Fear of different races. Fear of different sexualities. Fear of anything different from their social norm, breaking out, doing anything different.

I see someone so stuck in their way of thinking that they are terrified of everything, and I pity them.

Real actual strong men don't care. At all. Homosexuals and other races don't bother them. Real men don't care about other people live their lives or how other people see them. Actual men don't need labels and they definitely don't need to prove their manliness to anyone. Posts like this cause pity because they're so desperate to prove to everyone (and themselves) that they are masculine, when all I see is a scared boy.

[–] Secret_Music@piefed.blahaj.zone 39 points 4 days ago

Yeah exactly. This manosphere 'alpha' shit is insecurity and fear packaged as 'masculinity' by a bunch of jocks that think it's gay to wash their asses. It's an absolute sad joke.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 21 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yep. We don't fear him, we fear the clearly fascist regime people like him have voted for. And I wonder how he feels about that, though I doubt he'd admit it.

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 1 points 2 days ago

I doubt he’d admit it.

I think the US is kinda past that.

[–] Pencilnoob@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago

Performative anything is so cringe, and performative toxic masculinity is the king of cringe.

Toxic masculinity is so rooted in fear, it's like dressing up as a scared mouse. Wow, you're scared... of different skin colors? People with different outdoor hobbies than you? What a weird sad thing

[–] shawn1122@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

We mustn't forget the biggest fear of all.

Fear of not being enrolled with a wholesale club.

Dear God what would I do. The thought of not buying toilet paper by packs of 96. The horror

[–] I_Fart_Glitter@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago

Ew, it's my neighbor. He's currently in prison after his third arrest for domestic violence. I don't think his wife is a leftist, but she's definitley afraid of him.

Anyone that comes out of Catholic School Catholic is a brain dead moron. I'm saying this as someone that went to Catholic School lmao.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 1 day ago

Catholic school is better than those non-denominational accelerated Christian schools. There's one of those in the town over from mine and so far they've turned out sociopaths that literally got away with murder because of affluenza.

[–] czardestructo@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

Endured 9 years of Catholic schools. By grade 6th I realized everyone was full of shit and contradicted themselves regularly. Stopped believing in god and the only person I could trust in myself. Thanks for the hard knocks you Catholic nut jobs.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 35 points 3 days ago (2 children)

My friend who went, always says that Catholic school is the biggest producer of atheists.

[–] Gust@piefed.social 12 points 3 days ago

Loved catholic school. I never went, but there was a catholic school near my highschool and my horny bicurious (at the time) teenage self benefited greatly from it

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

> Catholic girls only school

>Look inside

> Lesbians

Is this true?

[–] barnaclebutt@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago

The lengths people go to just bury the fact that they are turned on by Mario Lopez with his shirt off.

I use chewing tobacco.

Oh no! He's gonna dip Red Seal for 20 years before having half his tongue removed due to cancer! Be afraid, "Leftists". Be very afraid.

Oh no a dumbass is gonna die of mouth cancer im sooooo scared, maybe he'll do something stupid and die earlier.

Costco recommitted to DEI

I am Octavius Rex (Alpha Male)s greatest fear

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Yeah, Costco is fine. I would expect a Sam's Club membership.

[–] J92@lemmy.world 13 points 3 days ago

The most boring person at the bar.

"Please mate, I'd rather drink on my own than have to listen to you."

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 13 points 3 days ago

How the hell did he manage to be heterosexual after attending catholic school?

[–] Boppel@feddit.org 45 points 4 days ago (1 children)

that is the cliche of a manchild. they are so insecure that they constantly have to emphasize who they are and how unapoligetic they flaunt their uselessness. people fear them, because trump showed how awful these pampered toddlers in suits compensate their absolute impotence by making everyones life more miserable. they don't fear him, but his tantrums. such people werent raised properly and have turned into antisocial bastards and a burden on society. the epitome of a parasite.

[–] HarkMahlberg@kbin.earth 5 points 3 days ago

they are so insecure that they constantly have to emphasize who they are

"I'm white, I'm straight, I'm 6'4". I'm white, I'm straight, I'm 6'4"."

[–] grober_Unfug@discuss.tchncs.de 41 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yes, I’m fear stricken by the Costco membership.

[–] gnugit@lemmy.ca 14 points 4 days ago

Don't forget that mouth cancer.

[–] BananaTrifleViolin@lemmy.world 29 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Doesn't say he went to university. Doesn't say he has a job.

Guys a mooch living off his parents, just in a fishing boat instead of living in their basement.

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Doesn't say he's married, has kids, fucks, or has any proof to being heterosexual. Methinks this incel would probably be better described as handsexual

[–] Apepollo11@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 3 points 3 days ago

Dexterosexual

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 18 points 3 days ago

Yo this dude didn't mention hunting or owning guns. How lame.

[–] udon@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

A fucking joke, that's what you are

[–] El_guapazo@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

He's a caricature of the 80s right wing militia guy

[–] SlartyBartFast@sh.itjust.works 18 points 3 days ago

Octavius means Eighth, how could he be alpha?

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Gotta be a novelty sarcasm account, right? The fact that they put (alpha male) in their display name is just top notch irony. 👌👏

[–] Secret_Music@piefed.blahaj.zone 31 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] victorz@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Yeah, gotta be satire. 👍✅

[–] Secret_Music@piefed.blahaj.zone 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Pretty sure it's this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Adams_(commentator)

Reading about him, it still seems like one big joke but that's a hell of a long time and a lot of dedication to the joke. It's all pretty absurd. The problem with this kind of shit is that it makes us all look like clowns because what should be obvious sarcasm or joking isn't such a clear thing anymore. Not in the current era of stupid.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

JFC it seems to me now that he isn't sarcastic... Sarcasm really is dead. 😢

United States Ambassador Nominee to Malaysia since July 2025

Even if it was satire, he's in too deep now

[–] Secret_Music@piefed.blahaj.zone 15 points 4 days ago

Yeah this one could be satirical. Although it's getting harder and harder to tell the difference these days. And also, history has taught me that people who spend a lot of time making 'jokes' about it, often turn out to be only half joking. Like how online circlejerk communities seem to always turn out to actually just be a bunch of bigots hiding behind the 'joke'.

There's definitely another dumb asshole that I see around who also has (alpha male) in his username who I'm sure is quite serious. If I had a stolen screenshot handy, I'd post it.

[–] Geobloke@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

As some one who is about that height, why would that height make one iota of difference to the argument.

I mean, unless you're a built

[–] Secret_Music@piefed.blahaj.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Because they picture in their minds of the hivemind known as "women" only wanting tall boyfriends.

[–] Geobloke@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago

Oh. I guess they must be literally swimming because of all the dropped panties, which I, as a fellow tall also struggle with /s

[–] AdamBomb@lemmy.sdf.org 8 points 3 days ago

??? Visible confusion

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 8 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Nice how they mixed only very few objectionable things with lots of basically apolitical/normal things, thus creating the strawman (hope I'm using that right here) that the left "fears" heterosexuals who go fishing or are over 6 ft tall.

Nothing new here, we've been listening to that crap since 2016. And since this screenshot has the date cut off, it could be that old.
